Thank you for taking an interest in the South Wales Land Rover Club. What are you all about? Believe it or not, we are a Land Rover Club based in South Wales (you'd never have guessed!)! The club was founded by Mr. Richard Eversden in 1999, and has since been joined in 2004 by Edwin Preece-Davies as a co-director | What is the club like? The club is a family orientated affair, once a month we like to meet up have a chat, a few drinks and maybe some food! You're more than welcome to bring along the family for an evening out. You can view the meeting dates HERE! | What do you do? We regularly attend events, including classic car shows, across South Wales and sometimes further afield. We also attend national events such as Billing and Peterborough. We also arrange fund-raising events in aid of Children in Need for example. | What about off road?* We DO NOT organise or, as a club, get involved with challenge events or other competitive off-road racing. We do however organise our own greenlaning trips suitable for all vehicles - we can advise you on all aspects of this! If you're up for it, you can arrange a trip out with some of the more experienced members for some more extreme off-roading. |
Anything else? The club also takes an active part in the community - we operate an extreme weather/situation response type service alongside Swansea Police, allowing them to call us out where their vehicles are not able to reach a location, or where weather conditions for example are too dangerous. We have also adopted a number of lanes in our area that we look after in line with a GLASS (Greenlane Association) Lengthsman Scheme. |
One important thing to remember however, is that we want you to have fun - and that is what the club is all about! If you have any suggestions for the club, or wish to organise your own event etc. then feel free! Just come along to a meeting and you'll find lots of friendly faces who will help you settle in and enjoy the club.
